Anybody been seeing strutters?

Because of work and other duties, I've not been able to get out much. Saw a nice looking strutter Today on the way to work. Was gonna get out and scout some Today but, rain all day.

I saw three yesterday in three separate fields in the middle of the day. Looks like big flocks have broken up.

I don't turkey hunt, but leaving work yesterday I noticed something dark out in a field, when I passed by it was a turkey with a full fan strutting around for...well, probably nothing since it seemed to be the only turkey in the field.

Seen a few, but haven't got out much. The ones I have seen have been while driving, and they were on private.

From La Vergne to AL state line I840- I65 saw no less than 12 stutters, even in the rain. Plus this one in the back yard.

I've seen several just being out and about. We have a flock around where I work. The four Toms in that group have been showing off for a few weeks now.

I've seen several last few days. They are finally starting to come out in fields. I think the acorns has kept them in the woods a lot later than normal.

Less than ever. I have 3 farms without any birds that always have had them. I have seen a few but one of the ones I had my eye on got spotted from the road, fanned in, and shot during juvenile. The "hunters" are being prosecuted as they trespassed and fanned and killed several birds that day but it's a hard hit when you don't have many around.

I haven't seen near as many as I usually see this time of year. I'm so excited that I'm golfing Saturday instead of hunting. T not that mad at em' this year.

That's how most people hunt around here these days.

Ride around, find strutter in a field stop and get permission, reap the turkey, post on Facebook and instagram "killas gonna kill" and repeat.

Pretty sickening really.

Seeing some. Thankfully not many near the roads on our places. We have a farm that's a 100 acres of woods tons of oaks and really hasn't had many birds on it in 10 to 12 years and it has quite a few birds on it right now. The amount of acorns this past fall is still a little mind blowing around us.

They were out everywhere today. Saw them 7 in different spots just taking the kids to school and running one errand. Probably about 25 strutters.

I've been seeing strutters since the week before last. That neighboring farm changed hands last year. I need to introduce myself and ask to hunt it.
Just been so busy I haven't even patterned my gun.

These three roosted 900 yards (1/2 mile) away two mornings before I picked them up on this camera. Over that 48 hour span, they were likely on three different farms/landowners making their rounds and messing with hens. Strutting all day, eating very little, and dropping weight.

looks like even the hen flocks have busted up here. seeing single hens out walking around, sometimes 2 or 3 gobblers escorting her.

Made a loop up to the high school and back this afternoon to drop something off and birds in just about every field I went past. Got the old heart pumping!

For 3 weeks or more. Groups have broken up and hens going on nest lately. Seeing alot of dead birds on side of the road.

They out thick this morning…been gobbling good all week! Weather looks right for in the morning boys….

Went up to the farm I'll start out with in the morning to scan the fields today. Birds are definitely out in full force. Im sure it will probably sound like a small war up our holler at first light with all the neighbors hunting. Saw 3 on our place and 7 or 8 more on the farms ajoining us. Interesting though I'm not seeing many hens. Just a few here and there. Good luck fellas!
