Any ideas? Need advice!!!!

Went to look at my bean plot yesterday and the deer have destroyed them and I mean they have browsed them to death. Did I read somewhere on here that you could put flagging tape around the plot to keep them out. If I dont do something I'm afraid my beans will get ate before they grow fully. I didnt even know there was enough deer in the area to do what they have done to them.

Better put it now if your going to try it, if they are going to get a chance to flower and make beans. Awful dry around here but they still might make a few beans.

Give it a try, it cant hurt!!!

Your not kidding once they get a taste. These suckers have browsed them to death. The beans got up to about knee high doing good and then came the deer mowing company. Honestly I dont thinkl the beans can recover and did I mention these were Eagle Seed Large Lad beans, very expensive suckers...

At a measured deer density of only 12 deer per square mile, we couldn't grow a crop of Lerado soybeans when only 1% of the the area was in food plots (1 acre of food plot for every 100 acres). The deer wiped them out before they could grow large enough to survive browse pressure.

You probably would have to spray the tape with PlotSaver or garlic and even then it may be too late.
