A buck I harvested had a pus filled nodule inside it's skull. It seems like it may be pitted into the skull some. I want to make sure the deer is safe to eat. I was thinking this may have happened from him fighting and getting injured, but have also heard it can be a sign of disease. The photo is on I found online, but almost identical. I discovered this after dropping it off at the processor, so I guess it is too late to test. It was harvested in Robertson County, nowhere near the CWD areas.
