Any ground hunters out there.

Im curious if anyone hunts on the ground using only natural cover and a tree as your blind. I have nothing against treestands, redneck blinds, and people that use them, but when im on the ground on a deer's level i feel more intimate with nature. It also makes things harder since deer pick me up with their peripheral vision but i love it. I want to get into archery next year but ill probably get a crossbow since im already handicapping myself on the ground. Do you guys do anything strange
or different to spice up your hunting experiences?

If you are serious about ground hunting with a bow, get yourself a real ghillie suit. I made mine but it takes several hours to do it right. Plenty of YouTube videos on how to do it.
I hunt with a 44# recurve on the ground a lot and like you, I just enjoy the challenge. There is a lot of trial and error but you learn everytime you go out. Good luck

I hunt the ground almost exclusively, this goes back to mid-80's and earlier.

Have been up in stands......Catman's stands were similar...Got caught in one in a storm and we waved back and forth for what seemed like weeks and that was that, ground it is.

I hunt slow and have a tendency to find a spot and grow roots.

I do watch the wind real close. Anything that can smell an acorn under several inches of leaves has to be kept upwind.
