I'm a big fan of this undervalued caliber! What gun/scope and bullet combo are you using?

Browning A-Bolt II Medallion
Leupold VX-III 4.5-14x50 LR
Federal Trophy Copper 140 gr

i bought my dad a sako AV and put him a zeiss conquest on it and it seems to like the hornady superperfomance 139gr
i've got a 7400 carbine with a redfield revolution on it that's a handy little rifle

I was just kiddin.... Yep
Not sure what it is about the particular caliber other than being I like all things .284, and .284
I like the .284 bullet so much I have two Winchester 7x57 featherweights, a Winchester with a Shilen in 7-08, and a Remington CDL in .280
And yes the .280 is my favorite, most accurate rifle I have, the best handling rifle I have and the best looking rifle I have.... :D

Remington CDL .280
Leupold 3.5x10x40 Boone & Crockett reticle
Primary my field rifle.

I reload the 140gr BT's and the 140 Barnes TSX and I often shoot the Factory Federal 140BT... I have all three loads shooting in the same at 300yrds.

The .280 is one round I have yet to find in the right rifle for me @ the right time. One I would like to at some point have around, someday maybe It will all come together.
Love my 7x57's an WSM

Ruger 77 mark II stainless,RIFLE BASIX trigger, hogue stock,Zeiss conquest 3.5 x10 x 50. I am still working on a load. It doesn't like 140 accubonds or 140 barns TTSX. But I am not giving up yet. I have a remington Mtn Rifle in 280 and it shoots 120 ballistic tip very well. I got some Berger VLD on order keeping my fingers crossed.

280 is a great round
Don't own one but own a couple 7-08. They are deer killing machines, so i would except no less from the 280.

Browning abolt .280, Zeiss 4.5-14x44 #4 reticle. Right now playing with 140 accubonds and varget. Re19 didn't give me the groups that varget did. Gonna try IMR-4350 also

I've got an old remington 7600 game master in a 280. Was givin to me by my great uncle back in the early 90's and I hunted with it as a teenager and killed lots of deer. Don't hunt much with it anymore at all. it's more of a safe queen...

T/C Venture in 280.
Very accurate 140 gr Accubonds, Partitions, Ballistic tips. We load the Nosler book max IMR4350 over 210M primers in R-P brass. I have it loaded out so far we have one in chamber & one on top of magazine.

First shot fired at a deer caused the internals to shift so violently the spine was severed. The bullet wasn't even close to the spine. I must admit I was pretty amazed.

I am sorta looking for one actually seen one go the other day remington 700 Barrel and action ss for $300 on another website site missed that one

I liked the .280 Rem so much, I built a custom .280 Ackley Improved. It's a pig skull splitting, deer dropping, shooting machine! The 140 grain accubond is one tough bullet in a 7mm diameter.

I have a 6.5 creedmoor which is the exact same round for the most part and I love it. The BC for the 140gr bullets is crazy.

My 280 is a stainless Remington 700 Mountain Rifle that I bought about 25 years ago. Leupold bases and rings with a Leupold VX2 3x9x40.

Way back when, I loaded ballistic tips for deer and partitions for elk but I switched to 140 gr. Barnes TSX bullets and IMR 4350 powder for everything. Its never seemed to matter much, it's always shot great, doesn't beat me to death and has done the job on everything from prairie dogs to elk.

I went to Ganger Mountain in Mt. Juliet and asked for 280 rem ammo and 7mm/08, the clerk never heard of either. He said they must be rare

Well I got the 140 Bergers and the Ruger really likes them. The only load I shot was H4831sc can't remember the charge but the gun shot about 3/4 inch groups and that good enough for me.
