Antlerless Question

This is my first year hunting in TN, and hunting in Unit A. The way I am reading this, you are allowed 4 antlerless in the archery season, 2 antlerless in firearm, and 2 antlered for the whole season OR you can take 4 antlerless in archery, then it gets knocked down to 2 antlerless for firearm season with the same 2 antlered. Can someone please explain this to me?

statewide you're only allowed 2 antlered deer unless you put in for a draw hunt and it's a bonus deer regardless of what season it is.

in archery season you're allowed 4 antlerless deer.

in muzzleloader you're allowed I think 2 antlerless deer.

In gun season you're allowed 2 more antlerless deer.

So you could potentially kill 8 antlerless deer and 2 antlered deer in unit A

Just remember the antler limits are statewide. So it doesn't matter where you kill them, you're only allowed 2 antlered deer for the year.

you could get your limit in A and move to B or L and continue killing antlerless, but the antlered limit is 2 period, unless you put in for a draw hunt that has a bonus antlered deer

^^^ Most likely will not apply to OP, but lots of options to increase your antlered bag limit if you hunt in Unit CWD. Ignore my post if you never plan to deer/buck hunt in SW TN.
