I just saw a picture on facebook of an 11 point doe in velvet. No clue what state it was killed in but it was not in TN.

The argument started up in the comments about whether it would be a buck tag or doe tag.

I know we have talked about this before on here but I can't remember.

How would this be checked in in the state of TN ?

If one was shot during the new velvet hunt, would that matter?

my understanding it checks as a doe. i know of a guy that got one years ago.

I believeTN tags are antlered or antlerless. It does burn an antlered tag, but you'll probably have to call the region office to get it checked since it is not possible to check in a female with antler points on the app, or at least it wasn't last season.

The categories in the Proclamation for bag limits are antlered and antlerless. An antlered doe is checked in under the antlered category, and uses one of the two "tags" available for the season.
