I took my son to Melton Hill this afternoon and had a blast. We went to one of our honey holes and caught 1 bass and then I hooked in this trash fish. I didn't think they ate anything other than grass and algae. This one ate a trick worm rigged up for drop shot. Put up a great fight. Too bad it wasn't a LM or SM bass.

Rather catch one of them than a largemouth any day, that's a real good one too. They don't eat all grass and algae like grass carp, they eat all kinds of bugs and worms and some plant matter as well

The hill has been rough this year so any fish is a good fish their
