On a 66 acre farm 60% corn 40% wooded I have been getting less trailcam pics at my #1 spot over the last 3 months- opening day was a wash with no deer seen.
Corn has not been shelled yet (should be any day).
On a whim, I put a cam under a white oak in an area that I've not spent much time at but knew it was a potential travel route. In a weeks time I had more trailcam action than at the previous spot over the last few weeks.
This is on a creek bank. Several good stand trees to choose from. The other side of the creek would be an easy place to put a blind or stand for MZ/rifle (55-60yd shot minimum).
So, my options are:
1- Move stand and hunt it ASAP. I'm just worried about messing this place up with a lot of scent.
2- Move stand and leave it for late bow.
3- Save it for MZ and set up across creek in a blind.
