another savage group

Shot the 300 gr. Xtps with the savage recommended sabots today and had a solid 3/4 in group until i shot the 4th shot and turned it into about 1-1/4. I blame myself because i had done got shaky but still can't complain. I was only allowing about 5 min. After each shot also. These bullets did not like the red crush sabot but im going to try them again in a few days.

Nice shootin Rock. I like the 300 XTP and was shooting some yesterday in a Savage I just put a thumbhole stock on. No scope mind you just the stock fiber optic open sights. I was able to shoot a 3 inch group with open sights and I know they can do much better than that I just can't see all that well anymore.

One more thing I like about them.....CHEAP!! not as cheap as the 250 HPs but way less than the Barnes I shoot in my other Savage.
