I love it. Those are the bucks I grew up hunting. My place is just south on the edge where the Appalachians meet the glacial flats. The hollow my property sits opens out into the Scioto River. Big timber on my side of the river and flat fertile ag on the other side.

If you want to see the same terrain & country as Columbus but without the population, go south of town to the stretch between South Bloomfield & Circleville. Search the fields along the river. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if you glass a world class animal. Really that could be said for any rural area north of the Ohio river, but since you specifically mentioned Columbus, that's a good place to start and only a few minutes away.

Nice group of bucks.... urban/ suburban hunting is the future!
I will say it's not my style, but I wouldn't blame people in the Columbus area for doing so. We don't really have nearby access to much public acreage. Most nearby places are small tracts and everything else is over an hour away which is fine with me, but not everyone can do that
