Well I couldn't stand it, had to get another cur dog to run with Max. (he's a black mouth cur) It's been a few months, not quite sure who's been slipping the miracle grow in with the feed. Here's my new pup. I've started him on squirrels but if he keeps growing like this they won't be a good mouth full for him! lol

He was born mid May. The day we brought him home...

Max was/is incredibly good with him. Didn't know what he was made of and couldn't be prouder. I've never seen a dog "train" a pup before. It's really been something else to watch.

I should've looked at Roi's feet!

play, play, play, play... rest a few min's then play...

Even when I call them they can't stop messing with each other! This is a pic from about a month ago... Roi's about 2" taller and 10 lb's bigger than Max now.

What line of BMC is he? I am pretty sure it is not Ladner due to his size.He is a good looking rascal!

From what you told me about the dog sizes (and a little web searching) I'm sure he isn't Ladner. I haven't registered him yet. I need to get after that. I bought him out of GA, they were used for hogs in GA/cattle in NM. The male was out of New Mexico. Not sure exactly how/why they decided to get the dogs together. Or how they'd even know each other. Seemed odd to travel that far for a dog breeding.

Well I'll be... just did some searching on the web and found the guy I bought him from's web site. (Didn't know he had one) Roi is from the Weatherford Ben blood line. Here's a link with pics of some of Roi's kin folk! The pups on this page could be litter mates if they are they've grown since the pics! Click Here

edited to add after looking at the site a little more the date of birth is the same as Roi's. I'm betting one of these male's is Roi. They are definitely bigger now!

I can tell from the looks that is definitely a Weatherfords Ben dog! I used to raise them myself. The best hog dogs I've ever hunted with! I drove all the way south of SanAntonio to get my first ones.

Thanks guys! Catchdawg, I guess I drove pretty close to you to go pick him up. I got him from Jason Young in Young Harris GA. He put on 2 more lbs this week... I swear you can sit down and watch him grow! lol really a good disposition though.
