Another chicken killer down!!

Lost 4 chickens and one just hanging on in the last 2 days. Of course it had to happen while I was away. Whatever got them left scat in the roost. I set up tonight with my .410 and some Remington TSS. I saw it and it saw me and ran. My childhood coon huntin' memories kicked in. I looked up and there was something white out on a limb. I grabbed my cell phone flashlight and sure enough, those eyes lit up.

Shot once and hit him on the limb. He was coming face down climbing down the tree, hit him again and knocked him off. He started doing flips and spinning so I finished him off with one more shot.

Anybody around the Wilson county area training coon dog pups and need a drag let me know. If not I'm just going to toss it.

4 dead chickens cost more!!

It was Remington TSS. Not impressed with it. It didn't pattern well for me, and some of the shot stayed in the shot cup every time I shot it.

Most people don't realize how many coins are in an area, since they're mostly nocturnal.

They were really over populated around here, hopefully not anymore, since we took out about 20 of them a few months ago.

The coins population has went down around here a lot since I retired , on the other hand the coon population has been rising for a long time, i am surprised rabies hasn't gotten bad.

That is great thinning them out!!They are I believe the reason the turkey population has been decreasing with these egg eaters!!
