So if I normally used 90gr of loose Pyro, what would be a good starting load with BH209 for similar pressure/velocity? I still plan on using the same wt bullet btw.
 
Man, I just saw a conversion chart somewhere the other day, but can't remember what site. They say it's 15% hotter than pyrodex so by that it would mean about 76.5 gr. of BH209 = 90 gr. of pyrodex. So try either 75 or 80 grs. of BH and your good.
 
MUP, I think that conversion table might have been on the Western powders website or BH209 website, same thing. By the way I assume you were talking about 90 grs. by volume not weight, so volume is what I meant.
 
Yes sir, by volume. I hit the BH site yesterday, but just skimmed it. I'll try to get on there again and look a bit more. Thanks!
