Ive gotten about a 15 to 20 yard circle of weeds/forbes growing aound my 4 new plots.Got some honey suckle growing in the tree tops,I shoot a little fertilizer to em,deer are munching on them.Plus it seems to give that edge feathering some

what .

Looks real good Football hunter. In my opinion, edge around a
food plot, is just as important or beneficial as the plot itself.
If it was my plot, I would be super excited about the honeysuckle
growth.

Not only is weed and vine growth nutritious, it also serves as
cover during the hunting season. A food plot with no cover
perimeter, is a night time only plot for most deer. If your
interest is killing a good buck near a food plot, I think the
more surrounding cover...the better.
