Rocketmans thread reminded of another Tip on Ramrod.

When Working up loads or sigthing in,It is best to replace the ramrod back under the barrel,or get an extra "range rod" and use it.They will shoot different with the ramrod removed than they will with it in place under the barrel.

I never thought of that, good advice. Another thing I started doing last year that helped my groups was to start using the bullet seating tips on the ramrod, I think that helps a lot with the plastic tipped bullets.
 
I usually cary an extra Ramrod with me hunting too. Usually a fiberglass one. I have broke more than one through the years and just plain lost two of them when tracking after a shot. (probably didn't get the rod in place good)
