I have a lot to learn about crappie. I can barely catch them on the bank or in the bushesScoping schools and casting to them.
The guys that know more than me could probably answer that better. I just start roaming and looking for them. Some times they're tight to brush, sometimes they're roaming in schools, sometimes they're dispersed and have to chase down singles and doubles. I don't ever known just start somewhere and adjustI have a lot to learn about crappie. I can barely catch them on the bank or in the bushes

Typically if you get into a cove or large creek off the main river.. away from current..,find the dead center of the area and start looking for themI have a lot to learn about crappie. I can barely catch them on the bank or in the bushes

As I recall it's just a little ways above the Pickwick dam near Shiloh Nat'l Battle Park. I guess that would technically make it on KY Lake but it's just river at that point - if it's still there. Used to love to eat there. Not sure my gallbladder could take a big meal of fried catfish anymore. Sorry for the digression, I know that's a long way from ChickamaugaIsn't the catfish hotel on ky lake
Do you fish Tim's Ford? Brandon Lester wears them out all winter there.Awesome. So they now draw down? My local lakes are virtually unfishable till april because they draw 11 to 12 ft of water out of them
