I'm not trying to throw out any conspiracy theories...but, did any else think it was odd that the video camera was focused right on the barrel the whole time? Usually, when filming a hunt, the camera is on the animal most of the time.
 
I think he used his Browning A-bolt as a walking stick...barrel down and it got plugged with mud. No conspiracy...the camerman just couldn't get focus on the animal. Next best thing...capture the shooter in the frame.
