Ames plaantation

I know some of youbgiys hunt Ames or nearby ... Just wondering if anything has been killed, website hasn't been updated. On my farm up the road neighbors been Doing good so far . seen a lot of deer moving nothing close enough yet going back in morn. Bucks are still hanging with each other and iv seen zero chasing .

No bucks taken yet. Some have seen some chasing but things haven't cranked up yet. I expect to see a buck or two drop by the weekend. I think we're still 1 1/2-2 weeks away from serious action.

We did have a surprise opening weekend. Corn was found placed near someone's stand and the 500 acres surrounding it has been closed and off limits to hunters for the first 10 days of the season by TWRA. This is in one of the heaviest hunted areas on the place and affects a bunch of guys with only a 1 day notice.

The guy with the stand hasn't been there to do it. Otherwise no suspects. I wouldn't want to be him in the woods if some of the guys found out.

Yeah I bet... Well for the first time in 5 years of hunting this spot I haven't seen the first deer.... And missed a coyote. Sat I shot coyote from same spot
