I'm not definite but I'm going to try to make it. What time does it start? Will I be paired up with someone since I'll be alone?
 
Shooters will start being sent out around 8am. If you don't have anyone to shoot with,you will easily be put in with another group. We may be able to get a TNDeer grouping together if times could get coordinated.
 
I'll be there. Probably 3-4 other guys will be coming with me.

Well I came down with a nasty head cold on Friday. I was hoping to be better today but I'm still sicker than a dog. I really hated to miss this cause the weather is perfect and I want to shoot more 3D. Bet y'all are having a blast.
 
As I sorta expected ..first shoot of the year yesterday and my shoulders and arms are sore as hell. I need to get back to shooting twenty shots a day.

Man what a turnout we had--right at 120shooters!

@fulldraw came out and it was a pleasure getting to meet him and spend a few moments with him before I sent him out with a gangly bunch of misfits! LOL ;) Hopefully next month more of you will be able to come out (3 weeks from now) and I hope we have good weather--the Febuary shoot for some reason seems to always be the worst weather of year...LOL.
 
I had a great time. It was a pleasure meeting and talking with you, tndeerguy. I couldn't have asked for a better group to shoot with. I just hope I didn't ask too many questions. :) Big thanks to Jerry for getting me back to shooting after my bow issue. Now that I have experienced my first shoot and have an idea of what it's like I'm sure I'll be back. Gonna make some changes to my setup. :) I will say, it took longer to get the nerves out than I expected.

Surprisingly enough no one shot in it. It's a brand new class, so it is expected that it will start slow until word gets around that if you hunt with it, you can shoot with it.

It is not an ASA class, but it is growing at the local club level because not having it excludes a large portion of shooters that may be intimated by just having a hunting or recreational setup or someone that just doesn't want to sink the money into a competition setup. By adding it, there is now something for everyone. There are several local clubs that have it: OHLBC, No Excuse, Mtn. Archery and a few others have it.

Must have screw in points and front stabilizer cannot be longer than 12" measured from the front of riser to the end and if a rear stabilizer is used it may not extend 6" past the point measured on the back of the riser below the grip (pretty much not past the string as a rough guide). Other than that it is wide open--no speed limit, any sight may be used.

As far as when to do it, it doesn't matter to me. If ya'll want we can try to get together here in a couple of weeks at the Feb shoot.
