Im about over deer season already. Im not really able to get out and hunt like i would like to, bad back and knees. Ive killed a nice 8 and a doe so i might just put the ol rifle up and wait on turkey season

I haven't got to go since I killed on the 16th I plan on going in the morning.
Once the primary rut passes and rifle season opens, I find myself sleeping in a lot more. I get more of a kick on trying to see how many younger bucks have made it through. I find myself planning for next year about this time.
Stringtalker, I know the feeling. My knees are horrible and I have degenerative disc disease, and femoral nerve disorder. So getting out and waking is rough, especially when it's cold.
But I'm up and about to hit the woods again, cause my 16 year old son wants to go, and I'm trying to hunt with him as much as I possibly can. before he gets to old, and doesn't want his dad to tag along with him any more.

I've got a nice 8 and a doe as well. My purpose for continuing to go is to take my 7 year old.
