Alfalfa Cubes

We put some feed and water out behind our house for our "pet" deer. We enjoy just watching them. I bought some of those cubes at Tractor Supply and the deer have not touched them. It's been about 4 days. Maybe when it gets colder but anyhow I thought they would eatum up. Not yet.

I have fed them alfalfa pellets and they went berserk over them. Plus the coons didn't seem to bother them either. I do not know what an alfalfa cube is.

I would of expected them to tear them up also.

A deer's mouth is not designed to eat cubes but they will readily eat alfalfa pellets. They have a hard time with cubes so there will be little use. You can often find alfalfa pellets sold as rabbit food.
