Saban actually warned anyone that was listening against the NIL because he knew exactly how it would be the death of traditional college football. And here we are....

And I'm VERY proud to have been a fan and lived through The Dynasty that was Alabama football.

It's only the death of 4 or 5 teams hogging up all the top talent and we all know why those 4-5 teams could do that. Now everyone is on a level playing field and there's parity. While I don't enjoy players jumping from team to team every year and holding teams hostage multiple times a year for more money I also did not enjoy certain advantages a select few teams were given over others. I think ole Nick saw that was about to be taken away and he cut bait. Like the song says you gotta know when hold em and know when to fold em. He folded while he still was allowed to play with a rigged deck.

My feeling is there is a whole lot of entitlement with these kids in Tuscaloosa thinking because they are wearing the script A that opponents are inferior and they can just waltz in the game and win it on name instead of effort. Heck yeah. I needed a couple new shirts and hat. As I've always said, that's why they play the games and why we watch. Anything can happen any given week. I will still watch and holler for the Tide. It's all in fun to me and doesn't directly impact my life if any team wins or loses. Although I think some people's lives totally revolve around it as they live vicariously through a teams success or losses. Not me. I'll wear a shirt or hat, and go to a few games but I'll always rather be fishing or something like that. No matter the win or loss record.

Alabama football has been dominating for so long. I think every other fan base has been through struggles while bama has been on a high horse. Personally, I've got nothing against them besides being ready to see what happens now that the playing field is leveled.

No players are. They aren't in a program long enough to learn it. Saban had 4 star recruits waiting on senior 4/5 star veterans. That is all long gone now.
