Alabama Deer Hunt Ideas

Tagged out here but would still like to hunt during Christmas break. Probably a long shot but I might consider. Any ideas? Outfitters, public land?

Lots of WMAs in AL and the rut should be going on around that time in Central to South AL. I have only turkey hunted them but have often contemplated deer hunting them just never have. Most AL wmas have primitive camping and some even have bath houses. Hogs inhabit a lot of them too.

I'd like to do something like that myself. I know a guy that might get you a hunt on a 11,000 acres lease.

Always wanted to hunt the January rut in South AL just haven't got to it yet.

Check out hunts put on by private schools in Ala. Usually about 600 or so for 3 days. hunts take place on prime private land. Few I know of are Sumter academy , Pickens academy in west Ala. Always heard the Morgan academy in mid central Ala was good also. They may be filled up for this year but it's worth try

And they are usually out in during peak rut which is first part - mid January
