The man who claimed the top angler trophy in the world may have been fishing your favorite spot yesterday. At least that's the case if you fish the tailwaters below Nickajack Dam. Dustin Connell ran 140 miles a day, round trip from Guntersville, Ala. to fish the Nickajack tailwater. That's where he won the Major League Fishing REDCREST Championship, and the $300,000 purse, for the third time. When the clock ticked down, Connell tried, but he couldn't hold back the tears. Meanwhile Rhea County's Wesley Strader made a run at Connell but came up short, claiming second place and $50,000. All the details are here: https://bit.ly/4i29pSI
