Aged Eggnog Time

My wife and I made some of Alton Brown's eggnog recipe (before he went woke) several years ago. We still have some in the garage fridge. 'Bout time to pull some out for the season!

1 year is great…. 2 yrs is the bomb!!!

I was actually a little surprised: I loudly announced who wanted to test out some +7 year old Eggnog (my wife looked back and found out when we made it). I had a surprising number of takers; the number of which increased after the first couple of sips.
It was very good!!! :p

Getting ready to make some this weekend. Have any of you guys tried to age in vacuum sealed bags? Thinking about it to save a little space in the fridge.
Educate a simple Yeti - does it take that long for eggnog?! It's July. :oops:

It hits a little different when you age it. I tried it for the first time last year. I did some for two weeks and some for a month. I was going for a year with half of the second batch until my garage fridge crapped out.
I guess that make sense. Aging may be the ticket. I'm just not a huge nogger. 
That sucks losing a batch you fussed over. Hate that.
