age?

probably not easy to tell from these pics, and I am kicking myself for not saving a jawbone, but any clues here on an age for this buck? I have my thoughts...but would like to hear what some others think

Field-aging a dead buck is nearly impossible for me, as he don't display the normal body posture of a live buck. But looking at the size of that buck's neck, I would guess he is mature.

I'd be fairly certain that he's at least 3.5, but past that I can't tell. Ditto on BSK's comment about body posture.

Can you make him stand up for us?! In all seriousness he is clearly a mature buck that is atleast 3.5 and could be 4.5 but no one that I know of can accurately age one dead in a picture. Beautiful buck..congrats

I know it's hard with him laying there, haha...but appreciate the guesstimates. I was thinking he was at least 4.5, and possibly older. Taxidermist thought 4.5, others that saw him said 4.5-5.5 also.
