I can't see more than 2.5 years old. Pretty big body, but doesn't surprise me coming from creek bottoms.

What do y'all say

I'll go out on a limb and say 3.5 just judging off his body size.. You don't see I many 2.5's with a body size or structure like that.. But it is possible...

I was pretty sure he was 3 when I killed him, but after looking at the teeth and the overall body structure (not size) I'm not surprised if he's 2. He wasn't eating soft grass either, plenty of acorn bits in the stomach so I think the teeth would be more worn if he was 3. My guess is it's just a big bodied creek bottom deer living on good soil with plenty of nutrition.

That's crazy. Looking at the body I would have sworn that to be a 3 year old deer. I've no idea what to look at for aging by teeth.

x2 I beleive so as well . Could be a very early born 2.5 though I guess . Without the teeth I would have said 3.5 no question . But Im like you Cat , the teeth have me all confused .

160lbs live wt is about average for a 2.5 y/o with decent nutrition. I've seen several 2.5 y/o's that were 180lbs.

Largest 2.5 y/o I've seen was from inside the MS river levee... joker was 210 lbs live wt!
