Age the jawbone

I'm no trophy hunter, but the body of this deer was huge. Chest girth of 40 inches, which shows 195lb on several charts, and his neck was very thick. I'm going to withhold the pick of the deer, as the antlers could skew the judgment of some. I'm just curious due to his size.

it appears to be a textbook 3 but could be a year or two older, it would help to have a quarter top photo angling toward the camera

Left side appears to have more wear, I'd feel safe with 4.5. Good buck, congrats!

3 year olds are usually really swole but don't yet have that chest heavy thoroughbred look that a 4 year old does

Wish I had taken more pics before I field dressed and loaded him in the truck. He had a real thick chest, as well, and he stunk worse than any deer that I have killed. He looked and acted differently than the other deer when I shot him. I will try to get a pic of the jawbone from the top at a different angle if it makes any difference, but I'm happy with him regardless.

Not sure which angle is more helpful, but these are the quartering above angles. Like I said before, I'm thrilled with the deer already. I think that he is probably the biggest bodied deer I've ever shot. Thank you all for the input.

Still looks like a textbook 3.5 to me. One of the biggest body deer I shot was a 2 year old. Not as big as yours but dressed 150

Looks like 4.5... plenty of wear on M2 to call it that, IMO
