I have seen this young 8 once this season and could tell me wasnt a shooter but a nice young buck. Have lots of cam pics. Some pics he looks 2.5 yrs and others maybe 3.5 yrs. I hope he makes it another year or two.
What you guys think on age??

I'm leaning towards 4.5

These pics are only weeks apart and he looks a year younger in the first than he does in the 2nd and 3rd to me.

Amazing how much they can change in that 2-3 week period from end of October to the beginning of November.

Angles are deceiving / brisket is big - but all things considered, I'd go with 3.5

Also looks like his front right ankle is messed up - looks like he favoring it by putting weight on his front left leg in all the pics - was he limping when you saw him?

Good pickup JC

I think hes 3.5, but the shoulder opposite the leg injury makes that side overdeveloped/ overmuscularized.

I just caught a glimpse of him crossing a shooting lane at 150 yd+ and didnt notice a limp. After looking closer at my pics it does look like his right ankle is clubbed or injured.
Good eye!!
