Temps in the negatives here the first part of yesterday. So, I slid a pair of thin merino long John's on underneath…no restriction at all. Even did a short 2 mile hike without issue.
I haven't washed these yet and have worn them practically everyday since I posted this. Only issue is they are loosening some in the waist/hips. I'll probably wash and hang dry soon and see what they are like.

Also, my wife actually tried these on. The flex in the hips actually allowed them to fit her but my size was a little too big. We might swing into Wally World and see if they have a smaller size to see if she can get a good fit. Website doesn't show any women's but in todays world that don't matter.
 
I've got 20 plus pairs of them. I am a tile setter and that's all I wear for work. After about 3 usages they look rough with thinset on them permanently but have not had any wear holes in knees and or rip. The only problem I've had is wearing out the mesh pocket liners. Got several I forget have worn pockets and my wallet ends up in my boot within about 10 steps.

Target sells the same pants. She could always buy them there and it would be completely legit.

Good to know. Your line of work definitely puts a pair of pants through the test.
 
Got a few pair and they are great. Got some of the fleece lined for working outside and then the camo version for the woods. Found a pair of their brush busters somewhere and they are awesome. We got tons of blackberry briar patches up here so they get used a bunch and have held up great. Held up much better than a high end name brand that's 4x as much.
 
I've got a pair or 2 of them. Wore them Sunday posting about a mile of property through briars and hills. They surprised me - I was pleased with them
 
The hiking we did was through some snow drifts, snow didn't seep in and what little bit of dampness occurred dried quick.

Front squats and deadlifts this morning wearing these pants. As for mobility and the fact they cost $27, these are going to become a staple day to day garment for me.
 
My son works construction and he has a couple pairs of these. If they tear, he goes back to Walmart. I think just about everything he works in comes from there from boots to pants to hoodies.
 
Finally got by Walmart last night and took me a minute to find them. They seem to be true to size as the 34/32 worked. They're a bit more snug through the butt and legs than I like but figured I'd try them. Might be able to get a thin pair of merino wool underneath but we'll see. If they shrink I'm screwed. I did put them on at home with boots and they'll fit but not a lot of room to spare. I also ran across a pair of wrangler cargo pants that have a much more relaxed fit and are fairly thin. Wish they were the same material as outdoor pants but they were cheaper @ 22.98 vs 26.98 so I bought them too.

TSC and Big R sell similar Wranglers to what your talking about here. Same material, but reinforced knees and the pockets aren't mesh inside.
I wear them at work for the stretch in the waist and knees, and also they are very comfortable with IWB concealed carry.

They look good for work or going out, very comfortable with a good fit that doesn't bind.
I did learn to dry them on light temp for knit clothing or they will loose the stretch and get loose and sag.
Mine are more expensive, than what you're buying, but with knees reinforcement are tougher.
 
I'm praying these are a reboot of the old "wrangler rugged wear" that became wrangler ATG….

I bought 5 pairs of the old ones and LOVED them…. 6 years ago! I have 2 pairs left and they are my go to hunting/work pants and I've patched many times.

I will be checking these out!
 
A short while back, Wrangler had an ad for Thinsulate lined pants that were on sale but I waffled on buying them. Now, I don't seem to find them on their site, fleece lined, yes, but not the Thinsulate.
 
A little over a month and these el cheapos are still rocking.
They have become my winter time workout bottoms and have the ideal stretch and fit for squatting and deadlifts.
I haven't dried them yet but will likely do so in a month just to "tighten" the hem up a bit.
I've worn them hiking quite a bit and exclusively for rucking on the treadmill.
Some slight stitch wear on the bottom of the side pockets but nothing unexpected for the price point and so far it doesn't appear to be anything major.

I've been wearing g the reinforced version of these pants for about 6byrs now exclusively. I used to wear jeans, but now I dint even have any jeans anymore. They are a little more pricey but the durability is great. Super comfortable and non restrictive.

I have found the older I have gotten, the more "stretchier" I like my pants :) Used to, you wouldn't catch me out of jeans except in church on Sundays.

I love those wranglers mentioned in this thread, I have a couple pair left i bought on clearance. They are so dang comfortable.

Most of my wardrobe comes from Costco or Sams. I have a couple pair of Orvis "stretchy" pants I picked up on clearance for $14. They are water/wind resistant and super comfortable. I wear these elk hunting early season.

I have a few of the sams brand "weatherproof" pants as well. As cheap as they are, I dont' worry about getting them dirty/oily.

They are a little more pricey, but, if you catch on sale they are pretty affordable. They would be hard to wear out with the fire hose material.

Duluth is my go-to for pants and underwear. Indestructible!

My wife is on their email list and gets 40% off any purchase coupons all the time. She'll wait until the things she likes go on their 40% off sales and then use the 40% off coupon on top of it. She ends up with well made clothes for dirt cheap.

Duluth is a favorite here. I have a couple of different styles of overalls and they're great. The wife and kids have several pair, too. They run great discount promotions.

Question; how do the "fire hose" material perform in warm weather? I get hot super easy, plus I'm always in the go. One reason I didn't cry about spending the money on Kuiu Attack Pants for Alaska was being able to unzip the sides vent out the heat my body produces.

Fire hose material is heavy. I don't wear them much in summer

It would be about like wearing a pair of jeans. I don't find them to be noticeably warmer than jeans.
 
My favorite hot weather fishing pants are the Skwala Sol pants. For summer travel or being out on a flats boat, they can't be beat. The fabric has micro pores that wind/breeze blows right through. And, they don't wrinkle much for hot weather traveling.

They are a light duty quick dry pant that wouldn't hold up for hunting.

These have become my go to pants. I'm picky about being too tight or too hot and wear these almost year round. I recently bought a pair of the flex fire hose shorts for summer because the family said my legs are offending people!

I have the fire hose bibs (not the flex) and they are hot and stiff but you could get drug down the highway and they wouldn't lose even a single stitch. I only use them for working around the farm in the winter.

So, I swung into my local Walmart and a pair of Wrangler pants caught my eye. I know a few people that highly recommend a certain type of wrangler pants for hiking/hunting. These may or may not be it.

For $26 I thought, "heck I'll try em on". Wow, a great fit right off the bat. Super stretchy all over. More of an athletic fit so someone like Luke Bryan who has a camel toe might not like them.

So far so good, so I purchased them.

This am I decided to put them to the test. Squat day in the gym. Once again, athletic fit but super stretchy. It doesn't bother me but if you prefer baggy these are not for you.
My workout was not impacted at all by the pants. The squatting motion is a pretty typical movement for me in the field so I feel like this was a good test of comfort, mobility and a quick test of durability (albeit I'm not overly concerned with that in a $26 pair of britches).

I'm excited to wear these some more. Hoping to do a short hike here soon. Possibly a quick rabbit hunt.

As for fit, I'm 5'10" and a fluffy/post holiday 180lbs. I picked up a size 32/32. The 33" we're a tad loose and knowing I'm not at my normal body condition I sized down anyways. I still have a little slack in the waist. I prefer a 32" leg because I can't stand my pants riding up and when I wear gaiters it just feels better. I did try on 33/30 but the waist was too big.

I found them on the internet for BOGO 1/2 off. A few dollars more than Wally World but if shipping is reasonable then this will be a good deal, imo. Plus they have many colors to choose from for hunting purposes.

I'll report back on durability. I suspect they will not handle brush very well but then again they might.
They are moisture wicking which is a huge bonus. The athletic fit might prevent wearing long underwear, I'll test that later.

I've bought several pair. Probably not as durable as my favorite Kuiu attack pants I have been wearing daily for 2 years, but for the price, the wranglers ATG's are hard to beat.
