I smell fall and Im fixin to pull plugs out of my yard and sow the finest blend of turf type fescue I know of which is the john deere turf blend and top it off with some starter fertilizer. If anyone has been wondering whether or not to do it...... do it, your neighbors will envy you next spring!!!

Will it stay alive in the hot of summer in West tn?? I cannot keep Ky 31 tall fescue alive.

If you plant in the fall it stands a better chance since it gets about a month or so worth of root growth, which when spring rolls around its ready to bust loose. Water every now and then helps though when the heat comes in.
