My wife wants to start bowhunting next year, does anyone have a recommendation on bow, starting poundage, etc.? She wants to hunt with it, so what is minimum poundage to make a clean kill out to 30 yards or so?

Thanks,

Don

My wife has actually gotten out of archery. She has an 03 Bowtech Black Hawk. 40lb. limbs, 25" draw. Draw length can be adjusted with a module. It's fully rigged, I'll let it go for 180 bucks. She'd be ready to shoot. First thing I'd suggest though is to find out what her draw length is.

Jeep- I don't know if she can pull that, she's never shot before. We will be starting at square one. Does the bow go any lower than 40lbs.?

You'll be surprised what she can pull back. Anyhow you can let the limb screws out alittle to decrease the poundage.

Jeep is offering a good bow at a good price
