Acura mr ram rod question

I bought a acura Mr but it seems like the ram rod is to short... Maybe its just me, but it seems like it would seat the sabot about 1.5 or 2 in from the breach plug I'll be using 80-90 grains of black horn but will that fill the 2 in. Space between the sabot and powder/ breach plug esp. With the blackthorn breach plug having the larger space for the powder to go into or should I buy a longer rod to be safe?

Did you buy the Acura new from gun store or from individual? Is that the ramrod that came with the gun? You can buy a longer dowel rod from hardwarestore or Walmart the same size thickness only longer if you need it. I don't really think you will be seating the load short with out knowing the length of your sabots and bullet. One and a half inch to two inches sounds about right. If Accura was used and has crud ring it could be harder to seat the load. I have a brass ramrod that is extra long with a wooden handle that I use when practicing. I cut a shovel handle off about 8 inches, drilled it out and glued brass rod in it. This enables me to get that extra push when seating
