After the big blow yesterday with high wind advisory and the storm that blew through (we saw nothing yesterday), the deer were on the move today in Haywood County. My daughter shot an 8 pt that chased a doe out into the field this morning -- nice 2.5 yr old. We also each saw several does being chased by small bucks. Then this afternoon about 15 min after sunset I had a large doe appear with a nice buck in tow -- a 10 point, with live weight of 225 lbs. We had only picked this buck on the camera once in mid-October before his neck had swelled. I'm guessing he's 3.5 or 4.5.
It appears that the rut is kicking in gear, but I'm done. Guess I will be the guide over the next few weeks.
