Tons of white and some red where I hunt in west Tennessee, like Natchez trace forest. Lots of white as well in Dickson, TN. Have been dropping like hail in both places for weeks now. Almost too many to find a good tree!

Best year for hard mast [acorns, hickory nuts etc] in 3-4 years. In some spots it's like walking on marbles. We had ZERO hard mast last year and the year before wasn't much better. Should be a good year for fawn recruitment.

The little spot I hunt out in cannon County has so many acorns falling that its annoying. One falls about every 15 seconds but I've still yet to see a deer this season. But them squirrels sure are giving my neck a good exercise.

I agree completely. Most oak , hickory and walnut trees here were loaded this year. The only trees that didn't produce were beeches. I'm mostly a squirrel hunter. Squirrels should be everywhere next year.

Seen quite a few whites on two properties one in Hardeman one in Fayette. Haven't really looked for reds.

Dropping like crazy in Marshall county (whites, chinquapins, and some red oaks. They are raining everywhere with this wind. Good for the deer but will make it tough on some of the youth this weekend. Our deer are scattered everywhere.

I've walked under hundreds of whites that did not have an acorn one on the ground, but have found several reds that had some acorns on the ground, and a few whites that had some acorns under them. From the miles I have walked, it looks pretty dismal in the parts Fayette and Hardeman counties that I frequent.

Have a white in my backyard maybe 150 years old not sure still having acorns holding on but turning Brown there acorns on the ground as well is that bad for the taste of the acorns or better falling in november?
