It is raining down Red oak varieties, but even has some white oak. This place is "heavy" on the mast this year and a deer has but only to feed in a 30 yard radius to get full! As heavy a year as I have seen on Red's.

it's not just laurel hill, I've seen heavy red oak drop all over the place. Occasional white oak and chinkapin as well, but mainly red oak. Surprisingly I've done good on seeing deer movement this year. I guess finding those spots that don't have as many oaks, and hunting the hottest trees helps. I've not been to laurel hill yet. Got a permit for a december hunt so I gotta go at some point.
