Scouted Eagle Creek today and i can tell you it is a banner year for Whites, Reds and Chestnut acorns.....
I cant remember it being this heavy in recent years.....literally raining them down and the ground covered wherever i went!!
These were in the road in several places over a nine mile stretch and it was crazy!!!

these chestnut oaks were covered up as well and so thick you couldnt walk without stepping on them like the reds and whites.

wow, hard to figure where to hunt I bet, good luck

I have hunted there for 10 years and i have a couple of honey holes. I have one place<no longer a honey hole>....they cut it.....but me and my son had shot 7 bucks out of the same tree! I have had great success there, and over the last two years have passed on bucks below my size standards. the last buck i took over there was a 6 pt back when it was still a bonus buck. now it is open to season regs and it is a great place to hunt. 22000 acres of thick, steep terrain.
