Acorns - anybody seeing any yet?

Just checking - went to my lease last weekend, but spent most of our time working of food plots and didn't really get around to checking on acorns. I do remember last year not having as many as hoped during bow season. Hopefully, we will have a good crop this year. Lease is in Rhea County.

Saw a tree that had fallen in Cherokee Lake the other day while fishing and it was loaded with small acorns. We had a bumper crop here last year so I thought may not be that way this year.

Got A HUGE red oak here at the house and it's loaded down.

Haven't had a chance to check where I hunt yet but I know of only a handful of oaks there. If they're loaded down this year I will have a good time! [emoji16]

Thanks, had planned to get some more work done this weekend, but not real motivated about being out there on the hottest day of the year! Didn't see a lot a acorns at my stand locations last season, but there were pockets of hardwoods that had plenty. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Had a look at a small tract in Davidson co. Only found red oaks on the property and didn't see any acorns on them

Wayne and Lawrence county have both White oak varieties . Good full trees on early checks of white and sawtooth.

Not at my lease, but I did see a red oak near my house that seems to have plenty of mast on it.

Have seen a bunch of persimmons dropping off customers tree's the last week or so,all different sizes,didn't have time to study the tree to see if heat/over loading was causing it as we have had decent rain so far this year
