I have a Accura v2 question. The breach plug had such a small hole in it was very hard to clean and have had it not to fire on multiple occasions so I took a 1/16 drill bit to make the small hole a little bigger thought I would be able to shoot before Saturday but not looking good. Did I mess the breach blog up? and do you think it will effect the way it will shoot as far as having to line it up different?

My setup is 250 grain shockwaves with 150 grain of 777 pellets and 777 primers shoots 3/4 inch group at 100 yards and have taken deer at 250 yards

Way to huge and unsafe to shoot. Im afraid you did mess up that plug and will need a new one.

Its not hard to clean, all you need is a #32 drill bit to clean out the flash channel " the primer end end" the flash hole rarely ever needs cleaning, especially with just T7 powder.

Yeah you don't want to alter the hole size...just keep it clean with a nipple pick. You can go online and see if you can get one overnighted to you in time.

I highly advise people research online or call customer service before altering firearms.

thanks for the replies I have a CVA Optima that I can use this weekend until I can find another breach plug for my Accura. Do you think I can use that one if I switch over to that Blackhorn 209 after looking at the drill bit it was not 1/16 but could not find the size I have a drill bit gauge and the smallest it had was 1/16 and when I placed the bit in it, it only filled up a little over half the whole. when I drilled the breach plug out all that come out was very little shaving and it less than doubled the hole that was already there.

Called CVA today and they said the same thing so I went to Mohoneys and purchased a new breech plug got the one made for Blackhorn powder so next year I will be switching powder. CVA rep said this plug will also work with pellets.
