Academy in franklin - good deal right now

If you need one of those cheap 3-legged folding hunting seats, they are on clearance right now for $3 and some change. They were already dirt cheap to begin with but now a little cheaper and there were plenty of them when I bought one yesterday. They hardly take up any space or weigh much at all, so I will bring mine in the woods next time instead of hauling in my bulky folding chair.

Are they comfortable?

I have one that I bought several years ago that weighs a lot for its size - it has a built-in swivel joint, and I pretty much hate it. It's too small and digs into your tailbone.

If you'd recommend it, what's the brand? I might buy one online, since I live nowhere near there.

I sat in one for about 9 hours opening day and it was pretty comfortable. Just be careful about the soil it's in. It has a small footprint, so if you're in soft soil, you're gonna sink ... possibly one leg more than another. :)

I would about as soon have boils on my butt as have to sit on one of those. I threw one away I used to dove hunt on...and kept falling off. About the only time they sit level is on solid rock.

I have some that are comfortable and one that isn't. If the two my wife are bringing me aren't comfy, I reckon I'll just use them to beat my kids with...either way, they only cost $3

yes they have very small legs/feet so they would sink into soft ground. I will use mine in the homemade treestand which does not yet have a built in seat, and is a tight squeeze for the big folding chair. Plus I weigh 130 so I aint much wear on the seat lol
