Anyone watching?

Orlando vs Atlanta Spurrier coaching Orlando. Not bad so far.

Ex vol qb Matt Sims qb for Atlanta. Just threw a int.

These guys will play hard for another shot. One guy was drafted in this league got called up to play qb for the redskins this year for 3 games.

Also gotta wonder how many college kids will leave early to go to this league if they can't make the nfl.

This would get you about 2 years in the electric chair in the NFL

I enjoyed it
I think I enjoyed mostly because I don't have a favorite team to pull for. Just football.

Yeah that may be the thing. Just enjoy being able to not care and enjoy.

Yep, story here. Looks like an NHL owner saved them. This is not a good start for the league.

based on a loose estimated guess. That will pay the players salary for about 5.5 weeks. I read somewhere, that the average salary was $85K. I guessed there is a 53 man roster. $85000 x 53 = 4,505,000 multiplied by 10 = 45,050,000. 250,000,000 / 45,050,000 = 5.549.... Hope they make it the whole season.

That average is 85000 per year, not per game.
Correct. $250k for 3 yr.

DUHHHH  I don't know what I was thinking.... $250M should go a little ways then. I can't believe they were missing checks in the second week.

we'll see how it goes from here and if they make it.

They missed the checks because of a change in payroll service providers.

I hope for competition's sake they make it. They will never top a giant like the NFL, but could make them a little more viewer friendly if they see sponsors start moving. They could truly care less about the fans as long as the sponsors flow in.
