We have about 90 traps out and have caught 20 coyotes total, I am at 10 so far but that can quickly change come daylight, 5 or 6 red fox, no grey's, and some bobcats. One cat and one red were totally destroyed by coyotes in the trap. The young man taking the pictures with my iPhone is a young trapper, in the 7th grade and loves to deer hunt.

Can you tell me more about your set for coyotes. I've never been good at trapping them.

I'd love to learn to do those ground sets where would you suggest I start?

I would suggest first of all you register at TRAPPERMAN.com

I would have you review all of the archives there for whatever species of animal you want to catch.

I would then have you call 1-320-599-4176 when you are looking at the following web site and order your gear, lures, baits, traps.

My initial suggestions to you regarding coyotes would be to one, set on coyote sign only and two, use both bait and gland lure to attract coyotes if you are just beginning. Probably the most important element is to BED YOUR TRAP FIRM.
