Pretty good storm came through last bow opener around here to last year not long after daylight. Would welcome that again this year to get some rain on my plots.

Best chance of rain is Sunday night into Monday morning. Beyond that, tropical system will complicate the forecast, as long-range models don't handle those well.

However, there is an opportunity developing for the first two weeks of October that could foster tropical systems moving into the Southeast and busting the drought. Not a guarantee by any means, but the upper level winds will open the door for such a scenario.

Rained on me last year too! Praying for rain anytime I can get it right now, because my food plots need it bad. I guess I will get wet in the morning if it comes, but unlike last year, I will be smileing the whole time!

I'm in KS right now ML hunting and the front moved through here last night. Dropped the temp 15-20 degrees and was a good steady rain. Suppose to get another cool blast Sunday.

Hope it makes it to TN, I know our plots need it...

How is the deer activity out there? I bowhunt every year the first week of November out there. Good luck.

First 3 days it was 95 degrees with 25-40 wind. Today was much better and had decent deer activity. Saw 20 today, of which 6 were bucks with one being a 135-140 8 point. Had him at 3 yds as he walked under my tree and again at 50 yds as he entered a corn field.Have 4 more days to hunt and it's suppose to get a bit cooler, so he got a pass.

I'm in the ultimate screw zone for Sept rainfall. Less than .20" for the entire month. This mornings rain on the TN/AL line is doing everything it can to avoid me.

BTW I doubt you got any either BSK,judging by the radar

And that was just what I was going to ask. I've been in Durango, CO for the last 3 days...
Maybe, maybe,a small amount, maybe you know someone at cathole to call,Richard wasnt there, maybe Mike,I dont know if anyone was there this weekend,it was weird looking at the radar, seemed impossible, but it missed us

Well, we were blessed with a great rain this morning in Giles. Enough to soften the ground and let us drill later this week.
Also good for my 6 acres of plots I broadcast in. I'll be interested to see how well they come up, if any. May have to overseed with some winter wheat.
