A first for me.

I had the pleasure of hearing a buck roar quite a few times this morning. I had to look it up on YouTube to know what it was that I heard. He was in some thick stuff so I never got to see him but I sure heard him. He was snort wheezing too which I have heard before. I didn't shoot anything but that made my day.

I haven't heard one roar in all my years of hunting

I swear to goodness I thought I heard one today. I couldn't make myself believe it though. Saw several deer but not from that direction. Still no clue what it was.

I have heard it three different mornings two years ago. It is the only time I have ever heard it. I killed the buck that was doing it the third morning .

I did catch a glimpse of a deer moving away from him and away from the doe he was following (I assume it was a doe he was chasing). I thought it was maybe her fawn but could have been another buck.
