I might get after them. I've been seeing several in a particular spot while driving through public land and I found the tree they roost in. I really don't know the first thing about turkey though lol

come to middle TN I will show you some public land birds. If you need advice the Long Beards forum here is the place to ask. I learned to turkey hunt mostly thru advice here and it has landed me a few dead birds, I am hooked for life
 
I didn't start turkey hunting until last spring. Like catman, I learned a lot of what I know from people on this board. It is a lot of fun and WAY better than bass fishing.

One warning though - if you do not need another obsession in your life, do no start turkey hunting! It is HIGHLY addictive. I can not wait for Spring to get here!
