My buddy Sam Simons @ scenic city fishing, come through for us again. Me and my girlfriend spent the day with Sam on the river below Chickamauga Dam. We caught 30-35 fish, including Sandy's 37 lb flathead. Others were a couple 15-20 lb blues, a 23 lb blue and a ton of 1-5lb blues. Always a good time when you book with these guys.

Great pics. Great day on the water. I checked out their website, looks like something I'd like to get my Son into. Which trip did you do, the full 8hr?
 
My uncle always claimed the flat heads tasted good no matter how big they get, wish I could test that theory lol . good times with those folks

We always do the 8 hour trip, but if you just wanting to test the waters with your son, I might start out with the 1/2 day trip. I have fished with these guys for several years now and have never had a bad experience.

Flatheads are the best eating in my opinion. But a fish that size deserves to fight another day. All fish yesterday was CPR (Catch Photographed Released)

I personally will not keep a catfish over 10lbs.
