Went to the inlaws' to shoot my 7 mag. I gotta say, I was apprehensive when I first shot it earlier this year, thinking it was going to kick like a mule. I was surprised that it didn't kick near as bad as I thought...not much more than my 50 cal muzzleloader. I shot several rounds and my shoulder feels fine.

I am still shooting a tad high, but I have also hit bullseye (or just a smidge above it) at 100 yds. Probably shooter error? Maybe. I just need more practice shooting.

I shot 150gr Remington Coreloks and 150gr Winchester Power Points...I did ok with both, but I'll probably stick with the Coreloks.

Can't wait for rifle season to get here!

More often than not I have found the same, been there done that. Reason I say the only way to know for sure is to shoot a perticiular rifle and load. ;)
