NO!!!!! LOL. Keep your liberal TN buck limits here in TN and just enjoy OH's conservative regs just the way they are. They work. Here's some food for thought.
In 2024 TN hunters killed 168,000 deer last year and 70,000 were bucks. 206,000 hunters.
OH hunters killed 140,000 deer last year and 100,000 were bucks. 180,000 hunters.
OH had less hunters, killed less deer overall, but killed 30% more bucks, and worth noting is that 1/3 of the bucks harvested were 3.5yrs+, meaning they were big rack bucks.
What you're experiencing with all those big bucks seemingly around every corner isn't because Ohio just grows bigger deer, which they do, but rather due to the strict regulations. One buck limit, week long gun season that happens after rut, and only a three day ML season that happens in January. TN hunters would go absolutely bananas if you imposed those regs here. But just imagine if 1/3 of all TN bucks killed were 3.5yrs+. That would be an awful lot of grip & grin big buck pics, about 27,000 of them to be exact. Also then imagine OH adopting TN's regs. How long you reckon you'd have all those big bucks to chase then? Regulations matter.
