A 1st for me....

Spent lord knows how many hours on stand, and have never seen a buck actually mount a doe. That changed to day and wasn't even hunting. On the way to work, 1/4 mile just past a subdivision, a small exterminator truck was at a dead still in the road. I looked over in a small field, maybe 10 acres. And there stands a buck ( 15-16" 8 point ) right next to a doe. After about 30 seconds he eases up and mounts her. Only lasted about 8 seconds ( hes almost as fast as me :) ). Then they casually walk into the wood line. Pretty cool to see.

I've only seen it once. I was sitting on my tractor bush hogging two years ago and watched the buck follow the doe basically in circles for several hours before he connected.
